After a week in the woods of Tennessee, followed by 3 days in my hometown, I am finally home and able to write about the magical experience that is Camp Gritty. I want you to imagine a place where no one looks at you funny for being different. A place where if you want to talk to someone, they will ALWAYS welcome you and converse with you. A place where you can be so unapologetically yourself and everyone celebrates that. This place also happens to be a summer camp for adults, who identify as female, or non binary that takes place in the middle of the woods. THAT is Camp Gritty.
